Mechanical Engineer
We are recruiting a Mechanical Engineer – Solar Power Plant Project on behalf of our client, a global EPC & O&M provider delivering turnkey utility-scale solar power plants. As their project pipeline grows, this role will join the on-site execution team in Arad, supervising all mechanical installation works — mounting structures, trackers, and PV module installation — for a large-scale photovoltaic project.
This is a hands-on, site-based role reporting directly to the Site Manager, with strong involvement in execution, coordination, and problem-solving. You’ll ensure all mechanical works are executed safely, on time, and in line with IFC drawings, OEM manuals, technical specifications, and quality standards, coordinating mechanical subcontractors together with the civil and electrical teams.

Main Responsibilities
Site Execution & Supervision
Supervise installation of PV mounting structures (fixed tilt/trackers)
Coordinate pile installation activities (ramming/screw piles)
Monitor tracker system assembly (driveline, motors, bearings)
Supervise PV module installation works
Ensure compliance with approved drawings and installation layouts
Verify alignment, tolerances, spacing, and installation quality
Quality & Technical Control
Review IFC drawings and technical documentation
Ensure compliance with OEM manuals and specifications
Monitor torque control and assembly quality
Support QA/QC inspections and ITP implementation
Assist in managing NCRs and corrective actions
Subcontractor Coordination
Supervise mechanical subcontractors and installation teams
Monitor productivity and daily progress
Ensure compliance with Method Statements and HSE standards
Support subcontractor performance evaluation
Planning & Reporting
Track daily/weekly installation progress
Report installed quantities and site progress
Identify delays, risks, and technical issues
Support planning and recovery actions when needed
HSE & Site Coordination
Ensure safe execution of all mechanical activities
Monitor lifting operations and working at height
Participate in toolbox talks and HSE implementation
Coordinate closely with Civil and Electrical teams
Requirements
Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited University is preferred
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is considered a plus
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in utility-scale PV projects, industrial construction, or infrastructure projects
Previous experience with mechanical site execution is highly preferred
Experience in renewable energy projects is a strong advantage
Fluent in English
Computer literate
Strong organizational and coordination skills; practical, field-oriented mindset
Problem-solving attitude with good communication and teamwork skills
Proactive and responsible approach; comfortable working in multicultural environments
