Quality Manager
We are recruiting a Quality Manager on behalf of our client, a global EPC and O&M provider delivering turnkey utility-scale solar power plants. As their project pipeline in Romania expands, this role will join the on-site leadership team in Arad, overseeing all quality activities for a large-scale photovoltaic project.
In this position, you will lead the project's Quality Management System, ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001, project specifications, and client requirements. You will work closely with the Construction Manager and all disciplines to maintain consistent quality across civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
This is a hands-on, on-site role for an approx. 2-year project, with extension potential based on pipeline & performance.
The role can be structured as an employment contract (CIM) or B2B collaboration.
Location: Arad (Grăniceri)
As part of the compensation package, the role includes a company car for daily site operations.

Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management Plan in accordance with ISO 9001 and project specifications.
Establish and oversee Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for all construction disciplines (civil, electrical, mechanical).
Conduct quality inspections at key hold and witness points, ensuring compliance with design specifications and approved standards.
Review and approve contractor method statements, quality procedures, and material submittals.
Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), ensuring timely investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to verify material certifications, test reports, and compliance documentation.
Oversee the calibration and maintenance of testing and measurement equipment.
Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all quality records throughout the project lifecycle.
What is the preferred background?
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in quality management roles, preferably in construction, energy, or EPC projects.
Professional certifications highly desirable: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of quality management systems, inspection methodologies, and ITP development.
Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive cultural change.
Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in MS Office; experience with quality management software is an advantage.
Good command of English (written and spoken).
Valid driver's license.
Availability to work full-time on the construction site (Grăniceri, Arad).
