Contract Manager
We are looking for a Contract Manager who enjoys structure, clarity, and working on complex contractual challenges. This role places your expertise in FIDIC contracts and local Romanian construction contract legislation at the centre of major commercial decisions. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and act as a key point of coordination across legal, planning, quantity surveying, and technical functions.

Key Responsibilities
• Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients.
• Ensure the timely submission of all deliverables under consultancy agreements.
• Monitor contractual correspondence and respond appropriately.
• Oversee pre‑ and post‑contractual matters.
• Attend technical, contractual, and legal meetings.
• Visit construction sites and/or client offices as required to support project activities.
• Prepare and revise contractual and technical letters, reports, and memorandums.
• Prepare causation analyses and contribute to claims reports.
• Provide written contractual and technical opinions for clients.
• Advise clients on the interpretation of applicable Conditions of Contract.
• Identify risk events and draft/review contractual notices.
• Develop procedures for the implementation and control of project records.
• Prepare summaries of events related to project claims.
• Coordinate teams allocated to specific projects.
• Manage assignments to ensure deadlines are met.
• Attend domestic and international meetings, hearings, and training seminars.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or law.
• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in Contract Management and in the preparation/substantiation of construction claims.
• Proficiency in interpreting FIDIC contracts and local Romanian construction contract legislation (experience with GD 1 is a plus).
• Strong communication skills; open‑minded, flexible, confident in client‑facing interactions.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage complex contractual issues.
• Strong team player, productive, and cooperative.
• Computer literacy: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Additional training on FIDIC forms of contract is highly desirable.
• High proficiency in English and Romanian (C2+).
