DevOps Engineer
For our business partner, one of the leading service providers for commercial mobility in Europe, we are looking for a tech-savvy DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team. You will play a key role in enhancing the deployment pipelines and maintaining the reliability of the systems.
You will be a part of an international Scrum team, with which you create quality services for their customers, create efficient processes and collaborate with other teams in the department to solve business and technical requirements. You can expect a fast-growing infrastructure that is highly available and scalable.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for running various customer-facing web applications for your team in the cloud & Linux-based landscape. This includes but is not limited to creating and analyzing meaningful alerts, dashboards, logs, etc. to know and ensure the health of the services.
- Not only the modernization and optimization of the existing system landscape (resilience, monitoring, log management, etc.) are your responsibility, but also the testing and establishment of new tools as well as the associated processes in our ranks.
- Design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring of configuration standards as well as further development of the continuous build, integration and release infrastructure are part of your tasks. Designing and porting our applications and delivery processes to our cloud environment are also part of your new tasks.
Your key qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related subject;
- At least 3+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role;
- Proficient in scripting and experienced in using versioning tools like Git, as well as logging systems like Loki or Kibana.
- Capable of understanding and creating efficient deployment pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
- Hands-on experience in administering Linux systems, Java web applications, and microservices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure - is an advantage.
- Prior experience in load balancing, failover, resilience, monitoring, and log management is preferred.
- Comfortable working with Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
- Independent, communicative, and team-oriented.
- Structured, with excellent prioritization and reliability.
- Enthusiastic about learning and sharing DevOps knowledge with the team.
- Motivated, open to new challenges, and a strong advocate for automation and quality.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Go, or others.
- Automated deployments, Kafka.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Instana;
